Join the Play Safe Network

Collaboration remains an important function of Play Safe – we are better together than we are alone. The following chart has been developed for different types of organizations to describe how to connect with Play Safe.

The Sunnybrook Centre for Injury Prevention will continue to serve as the Play Safe Coordinator and will be responsible for such things as:  coordinating day-to-day activities, research activities and the Play Safe Injury Tracker and, manage network relationships, technology (app and website), evaluation and reporting requirements. Scroll down to join!

COLLABORATE
Umbrella sport, recreation or education organization (regional, provincial or national)

  • Support Play Safe Certified objectives
  • Promote Play Safe Certified program to members
  • Lead injury prevention efforts in the organization
  • Complete annual evaluation
  • Use of Play Safe logo on promotional materials
  • Logo and name included on Play Safe website in the Collaborate category
  • Ability to participate on advisory committees

REGISTERED
Community organization providing sport or recreation services, in full or in part of organization objectives to members, participants or students
  • Complete registration form
  • Working towards compliance guidelines for Play Safe Certified
  • Complete annual evaluation
  • Use of Play Safe Registered logo on promotional materials
  • Logo and name included on Play Safe website in the Registered category
  • Ability to participate on advisory committees

CERTIFIED
Community organization providing sport or recreation services, in full or in part of organization objectives to members, participants or students
  • Complete registration form
  • Meets compliance guidelines for Play Safe Certified
  • Complete annual evaluation
  • Use of Play Safe Certified logo on promotional materials
  • Logo and name included on Play Safe website in the Certified category
  • Ability to participate on advisory committees

SUPPORTER
​Private, for-profit, commercial entity 
  • ​Financial support at multiple levels managed through the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Foundation
  • Use of Play Safe Certified logo on promotional materials
  • Logo and name included on Play Safe website in the appropriate Supporter category (multiple)
  • Ability to participate on advisory committees where there is no perceived or actual conflict of interest
